Alternative Learning Program
Review sessions using DepEd’s Alternative Learning System (ALS) modules (on life skills and academic subjects) are conducted to prepare older children to take the Accreditation and Equivalency (A & E) examinations. In 2007, the ERDA Group embarked on the implementation of the Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency Program (ALS A&E) of the Department of Education after a few of our staff underwent and certified as instructional managers. This program provides a 6-month modular learning opportunity to elementary and high school dropouts who cannot undergo the formal educational set-up due to various social, economic, and family issues. Examinations or tests are given at the end of the program that will determine their competency. Elementary or high school diplomas are given to students who passed the program that will qualify them to enroll to skills/vocational institutions or colleges.
