Educational Assistance Program

 

 

The Educational Assistance Program (formerly Back-to School Program) or EAP had been the flagship of the ERDA group since its inception in 1974 that facilitates the entry and re-entry of the school dropouts, street children, children engage in child labor activities, and late enrollee children and youth to public elementary and high schools.

 

 

 

Assistance (in the form of school supplies, bags, uniforms, miscellaneous fees, etc) is provided to children beneficiaries enrolled in public elementary schools. Tie-up arrangements enable this program to be extended nationwide.

 

And some of ERDA’s high school graduates continuously being assisted in their college or tertiary education depending on fund and scholarship’s availability.


Among the services given are school supplies, uniforms, financial assistance to comply with school projects, counseling, learning enhancement, remedial classes and other support services.

 

A total of number of 593,552 children has been assisted by ERDA Group from       SY 1975-76 to 2008-09.

 

126, 003 in the Preschool level,

431, 316 in Elementary,

  25, 815 in Regular High School, 

    8, 284 in ERDA Technical High School

        367 in College level, and

    1, 767 in  Alternative Learning System (PALIHAN)
