BK-RESTORE Project

This synergy project provides for a halfway house—the BK-RESTORE Youth Home—where CICL released from detention through the Legal Defense Program are provided residential care, integrated rehabilitation services including educational assistance and ALS review sessions, and voc-tech skills training under the PALIHAN Program, before eventual reintegration with their families and communities.
Recognizing the vulnerability of children from abuses, exploitations, inadequate basic social services, weak and inconsistent enforcement of child protection laws, and the growing number of Filipino Children In Conflict with the Law (CICL) in Metro Manila, ERDA Group launches the Buhay Kalikasan-Revitalizing & Expanding Services towards Rehabilitation & Reintegration of Children in Conflict with the Law (BK-RESTORE) Youth Home in Tondo, Manila.
The BK-RESTORE Youth Home aims to provide a temporary shelter for CICL who are willing to undergo diversion and intervention programs as per court order and for other children who are at risk but need intervention programs. Together with the Department of Justice (DoJ) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), BK-RESTORE actively and intensively promotes and advocates the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006 or RA 9344 to all stakeholders, such as families, communities, police, and social workers who lack of information and awareness of the law.
The Youth Home currently has 6 CICLs and can accommodate up to 24 children at a time with a maximum stay of one (1) year. Location: BK-RESTORE Youth Home
